BREAKING NEWS: Summer is coming.

You knew that, but I have been living in deep, deep denial, mainly because I hate wearing shorts.

They look stupid.

I mean, I’m sure they look great on you. Your legs are long and tan, you golden goddess. Mine are short and as white as the underbelly of an albino cave-dwelling fish. They just don’t respond to sunlight. If I were a character from “Game of Thrones,” I’d be a White Walker.

But I’m sure I’ll find some light fabric to cover my shame. In the meantime, I’m getting ready to fight my way through the grocery with the rest of my last-minute brethren. What, you, too? High-fives all around!
