Welcome to our Online Advent Calendar series, where we’re doing 25 days of Christmas challenges to get everyone into the spirit! (Today’s video is the famous leg lamp scene from “A Christmas Story.” Frah-jee-lay!)
Remember, everyone wants to be a kid at Christmas.
At one of our family Christmases a few years ago, all of the adults got Nerf guns. It was totally unexpected, but within about 30 seconds, we were all locked and loaded, with a hailstorm of foam orange bullets landing on every available service.
Pure magic.
Doesn’t everyone want to open at least one present that’s 100% fun at Christmas? YES, no matter how young or old, because we all want to be kids at Christmas.
So, phone a friend, and agree to exchange stockings this year, instead of letting yours hang there empty. Find a place to display one of your favorite old toys. Spring for the LEGO R2-D2 your man secretly lusts for. Pick up a snowman cookie or a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream or marshmallows. Track down a toy that someone you love always wanted but never received. Buy that disco ball shower cap for your granny. She’ll love it. (Mine did!)
And, if you’re totally stumped about what to give someone, just remember, you can’t go wrong with a Nerf gun.
